Hearing these words being quote in Spike Lee's made for Netflix series She's Got To Have It based of the original Spike Lee Joint released in 1986, kinda send chills thru my body. The sentence being so provocative and sexy, yet vulgar and belittling. The original quote was taken from Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now a war film shot during the Vietnam war and tho I have yet to watch this classic bit of Cinematography I anticipate the scene it is used in. Yet in still the comparison of a woman pussy to victory has its small negative feelings as tho women are trophies to be won. Im grateful for the time I was born into where women are less viewed as rewards and property and more as individuals. Now to change how women are viewed in a sexual context and the rights some feel they have to our bodies from boyfriends and husbands to government.
